Silicus reinvented client’s entire line of business making its operation more convenient and efficient, without disturbing the existing work-models:

  • Synchronizing with client’s existing in-house software to pull data from and also add new data
  • Upgrading older version of SharePoint to SharePoint 2010
  • Enhancing existing features (applications and forms)
  • Enhancing user experience (UX) using customized screen layouts and forms
  • Adding new business tools as per client’s present-day requirements

Silicus offered the following SharePoint solutions:

    • SharePoint 2010 farm setup: data migration and deployment and configuration of features as-is from existing SharePoint version to SharePoint 2010 farm
    • Outlook integration: as soon as client has a new customer, his/her details get integrated in client’s outlook and other SharePoint applications
    • Web-enabled InfoPath Forms: existing InfoPath forms were all desktop-based, backed by code. This blocked users’ access to them once they switched machines. Silicus migrated all the forms to browser-based forms which needed no coding and provided their access to authorized users from anywhere, anytime

Innovative solutions offered by Silicus, and not part SharePoint’s Out-Of-The-Box features included:

  • Personalized Dashboard: Silicus created a dashboard as a common platform for bulk project and task updates
  • Dropdown in Search bar: search scope in SharePoint’s OOTB is generic to the entire portal. Silicus made this search narrow down to specific categories as dropdown navigations, enhancing user experience and enabling faster and more relevant searches
  • Easy-to-use Document Viewer: Silicus created a tool part as ‘tree-view of documents’ for quicker and direct access to documents. Also, documents can be read without downloading
  • Ribbon customization: new tool parts like ‘’Move To Planning’’ were added to the ribbon for prompt access to a function
