Client provides staffing solutions for Hospitals, Practices and Companies across US, such as, physicians, dentists, assistants, and nurses. The client brings in experience, resources, and scale to match talented locum tenens physicians, dentists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with great healthcare facilities and practices across the United States in a wide variety of practice areas.

Business Challenge

The client helps staff physicians, dentists, assistants, and nurses on contract basis with hospitals across the US. Maintaining records and timesheets was a manual and paper based exercise, which was time consuming and error prone. Client recognized an urgent need to develop an application that presented an automated workflow for time and expense processing and approvals.

Silicus Solution

Silicus leveraged the .NET MVC 4 technology stack for development.

The key functionality in the portal was that it allows users to enter in-out time punches, breaks, work durations and add comments. They can also enter and track expenses like fuel charges, canteen charges etc. for reimbursements. Customer admins can also create different types of time-off such as vacation, sick leave, bereavement, and more.

To allow access from remote location, Silicus developed a native iOS mobile application for users to fill timesheets & get them approved online. Users can also take pics of their receipts and submit expenses in the expense management module.

The application also had a reporting module for timesheet and expense reports, and could be scheduled to be emailed at pre-defined intervals.
