About the Client

The client is a leading provider of health and fitness software solutions for gyms, health club, sport clubs etc. Their solutions encompass billing, payment processing, point of sale and several other aspects related to managing health club operations.

Business Challenge

The client’s payment processing solution offering did not meet customer expectations due to lack of several features and options. In response, the client decided to enhance the existing payment transactions module, upgrading it from beyond just sending and receiving payment and remittance information to include more features and options, in keeping with higher customer expectations.

Silicus helped the client build a feature rich and robust payment transactions module, by developing several features such as:

  • Check-In
  • Backoffice(Accounting)
  • Point of Sale (POS)
  • Reccuring Payments Engine
  • Propsecting/Sales Payment
  • PCI Compliance

In keeping with the platform consistency, the modules were developed on Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C# and MS SQL.

The POS billing feature was architected for PCI compliance, designed to protect sensitive credit card related data. The software was also touchscreen enabled to process credit card payments in real-time. The real-time credit card payments process include chip & pin, and the application also supported reccurring payment for both Credit Card and ACH for batch processing.

The entire application was re-architected for PCI PA-DSS and validated by the PCI-SSC as PA-DSS compliant.

The check-in module was designed to sync with data across the entire system, searching for members profiles across multiple locations and unfiying the information. The module could display alerts for important account updates, past dues etc.

Silicus also developed a strong report generation module, allowing health clubs to gather and report of information across different branches for better insights into their operations. Silicus also built in the required flexibility and robustness within the application for supporting large multi-club chains as well as standalone local clubs.
