The customer is a leading U.S. based onshore provider of value-added, mission critical oilfield services focused on completion, intervention and production activities for the most technically demanding oil wells. One of the key services provided is fishing in oil wells – retrieving broken and / or accidently dropped devices and equipment obstructing a well.
The customer’s technicians currently use multi-sheet excel spreadsheets to enter and track fishing job related data. This data is used for billing and invoice processing.
The customer approached Silicus to help digitize this process by developing a web application that can operate in online and offline modes due to unavailability of internet connections at most fishing job sites. Silicus will leverage .NET Web APIs for business logic; Angular 7 Type Script, Bootstrap, HTML5 and CSS for the application front-end; SQL Server as the database; and Azure DevOps and Visual Studio 2017 for managing and deploying application builds.
The application will eliminate human errors at the job sites and provide information in near real time in scenarios where internet connectivity is available.
