The customer is a leading provider of consulting, engineering, and technical services worldwide. They serve government and commercial customers by providing innovative solutions focused on water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, and energy. The fluid management division serves the O&G industry with solutions for water management, fracking operations flowback, production well testing, offshore rig cooling, and compression.
The customer was a pioneer in leveraging cutting-edge technology to differentiate their service offerings. They saw the potential in using IoT enabled real time data for further optimizing their water management services in Oil and Gas fracking operations.
Silicus helped the customer develop the IoT platform based on the business use case identified by the customer. The solution included IoT enabled sensors, data streaming and management services, hot path and cold path data analysis and storage, and a user portal for interacting and deriving insights from the generated data.
Silicus will first analyze the current-state of the water management and monitoring process, along with the control systems (e.g. PLCs), and/or other applicable devices. This will be followed by the design, architecture and implementation of the IoT platform, PLC data access and IoT Connectivity, Web application(s) and databases.
Once implemented, the solution will make it easier to monitor and control water transfer assignments.
