Project Outsourcing

In a project outsourcing model, Silicus will be completely responsible for the deliverables by way of addressing the clients’ business problems. The deliverables may be a total solution, a piece of a solution that may be integrated with a bigger solution or a set of various solutions. Silicus has the skills in providing long-term support and maintenance/enhancement services for existing systems and applications.

Silicus has the skills and experience to provide end to end lifecycle services as well as product support services within a particular project scope.

The various phases through which a project outsourcing engagement with Silicus may go through are:

People

The responsibility for staffing a project and managing its resources will entire rest with Silicus. During initial discussions with the client, Silicus will try and understand the resource requirements for the project - from an experience and technology point of view. If the resource requirements cannot be met with the bench strength, Silicus will start the resource sourcing process.

Once the project begins, Silicus makes sure the resources are on board and manages the resources throughout the life cycle of the project. At any time, if a resource needs to leave or a new skill is needed for the project, Silicus will take necessary steps towards addressing this issue.

Once the project has been completed, resources will be available for up to 2 weeks for any project related support or to execute other projects that the client may want to outsource. After 2 weeks, if there is no further work for the resources, Silicus will re-deploy them on other projects and inform the client over e-mail.

Management

Management of all aspects related to the project is the responsibility of Silicus technologies. The client is responsible for verifying the project requirements at the onset and verifying and accepting the deliverables at the end of the project.

Silicus is responsible for managing the following aspects of the project:

• Timeline and schedule
• Intellectual property
• IT infrastructure
• Resources

Cost

Silicus typically undertakes the execution of project in one of two different models:

Time and material: : typically used when project requirements are not well defined and keep evolving during the execution of the project. This is the more preferred execution model for Silicus.

Fixed bid:typically used when project requirements have been well defined and documented and there is no anticipated change in the requirements during the project execution

In either of the two cases, pricing of services is based on the resources working on the project. Pricing of resources will vary depending upon the following factors:

• Experience
• Role
• Technology

Silicus charges a fixed price for each type of resource, on a per month basis.

Deliverables

Silicus is responsible for the deliverables from a project that has been decided prior to project commencement. Silicus will take care of the following deliverables:

• Delivery time line
• Quality
• Documentation
• Post project support
