Specialty Specific Applications Though the healthcare industry is moving towards integration and interoperability, there are some specialty-specific applications which cannot be readily integrated due to various reasons like complexity, local customization, niche requirements, heavy transformation costs etc.
Taking these factors into consideration, Silicus understands that it will not be feasible to implement one-fits-all product or solution in this case. We can help the ISVs to build/enhance/customize these applications or even re-engineer them to enable scalability, security and connectivity. Product design and implementation being our forte, we understand the intricacies of application development. Besides, we have a considerable and diverse experience in healthcare domain to boost our confidence in product development of healthcare systems.
There are many more applications related to even more specific practices like cardiology, gynecology, pediatrics, dental and many more. Silicus builds and supports all kinds of product development across provider and payer segments of healthcare industry.
We leverage our ability to understand leading-edge technologies that guarantees world-class product architecture, design, implementation, deployment and servicing. Further, we have the right mix of techno-functional and QA experts that help you realize your goal of custom-product development while ensuring business-applicability, adherence to quality & compliance, scalability and cost-effectiveness.
We offer product development services for off-the-shelf products, some of which are listed below:
PACS eliminates the need to store hard copies of medical images. PACS can store, index, and retrieve images of various kinds like MRI scans, ultrasound images, CT scan, X-Rays, cardiology images and more from various medical imaging instruments. The system enables single point of access and transmission for images and their associated data for use by other applications like EHR, Radiology & Laboratory systems, HIS and similar hospital modules in standard formats like DICOM and HL7.
Radiology practice deals with wide range of x-ray and radiations along with multiple imaging technologies to diagnose and treat disease. This raises the need of an RIS application which can handle radiological images and related data. RIS may contain different modules depending on the need of the hospital like, patient registration, workflow, visual analytics to interpret radiology results, image scanning & upload, interactive documents and integration to PACS system.
LIS system handles data related to laboratory tests and processes related to various disciplines like chemistry, hematology, genetics, cytology, microbiology, immunology etc. and interfaces with varied medical equipments and analyzers. The system also needs to interact with other hospital modules like EMR, RIS, PACS, billing etc. Broadly, LIS records lab orders, communicates test orders to analyzers, stores test results and sends the required information to HIS in standard format like HL7
E-prescribing is a kind of CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry) where doctors can select drug prescription (drug name, quantity, strength, quality etc.) from a preconfigured list and send online order to the pharmacy to dispense drugs prescribed for the patient. It eliminates risk of manual errors and improves turnaround times.
Different stakeholders have different requirements for sharing information. Online portals provide the required platform to share, learn, roll-out policies to multiple users and even advertise/promote to targeted users of the portal. Patient portal, doctor's portal, e-leaning portals, management portals, general organization portal etc. are few examples which can provide an information exchange platform to enable convergence in healthcare industry.
