Typically, staff augmentation engagements depend on the degree of flexibility and options you have to get a best fit staffing solution. Of course, cost matters a lot; however, it would be a good idea to understand options available before a choice is made. When you decide to engage us, you have the options to customize your experience based on the following:

  • Control over Resource Hiring – You can exercise control over resource hiring
  • Network Segmentation – If resources work within our IT network, you may choose to place additional network equipment, create a separate Virtual LAN, connect to your operations over a VPN, and allow resources access to your engineering and development environment.
  • Separate Office Infrastructure - In the event you need the working area in our facilities to be physically isolated from the other teams, this can be arranged. However, separate office infrastructure costs will need to be incurred.
  • Security Policy and IT Policy – By default, our security and IT policies will be enforced; however, you can optionally implement the existing Security and IT policies practiced in your own organization.
  • Remote Monitoring - You can optionally request CCTV monitoring as a security measure.
  • Separate Internet Connectivity - You have the option of having separate Internet connectivity with firewall control for your team
  • Intellectual Property Control - In addition to Physical and Network Control, you can have your team members sign Intellectual Property protection agreements as an additional safeguard.
  • Operational Control - You have the option of implementing Project Management, Communication and Collaboration tools and systems of choice other than the standard infrastructure & tools provided by us.

The client manages the team and takes responsibility for allocation of tasks, and controlling the quality and timeline for deliverables. For small offshore engagements, a technical manager is assigned and billed partially to the engagement to ensure all challenges are resolved. For large offshore engagements a dedicated technical manager is always recommended as part of the engagement.

We take responsibility for managing the following aspects of the project:

  • Intellectual property protection
  • IT infrastructure and policies (if required)
  • Resources

The client is responsible for managing the following aspects of the project:

  • Timeline and schedule
  • Resource Activities and Task Prioritization
  • Defining and Validating Deliverables

A staff augmentation engagement model can be one of two below options:

Time and material: The resources are available to you for the entire duration of your requirement and you don't need to specify a concrete up front time line. However, you need to inform us 1 month prior to disengaging with the resources.

Fixed timeline: We mutually decide a fixed timeline for the engagement. Based on project progress and any additional work to be done, you can choose to extend the duration.

In either of the two cases, pricing of services is based on the resources working on the project. Pricing of resources will vary depending upon the following factors:

  • Experience
  • Role
  • Technology
  • Onsite vs Offshore

We have a standard hourly bill rate for each resource type. Clients can also request a fixed monthly rate.

The Client is responsible for managing the staff and deliverables from the engagement, which includes the following:

  • Delivery timeline
  • Quality
  • Documentation
